Behavior Therapy

Behavior therapy focuses on teaching meaningful, functional skills to promote behavior change, increase independence, and improve quality of life.

This service is designed for children, adolescents, and adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.

Sessions are individualized based on the client’s interests, strengths, and areas of need. Sessions may target functional communication, daily living routines, social-emotional skills, and behavioral flexibility.

Bloom Behavior follows a low dosage model. Most clients will receive behavior therapy for 1 to 4 hours on a weekly basis. If the client is 17-years-old or younger, then the caregivers are required to participate in caregiver guidance.

Caregiver Guidance

Caregiver guidance empowers parents and other caregivers to better understand their child’s behavior, implement practical strategies, and improve the family dynamic.

This service is for parents, guardians, grandparents, nannies, or anyone who spends a significant amount of time supporting the client.

Sessions are tailored to meet the family’s needs and help the family grow as a whole. Sessions may include direct instruction, role-playing, observations, and providing feedback.

Bloom Behavior believes that caregivers play an essential role in creating long lasting change. Most families will receive caregiver guidance for 1 to 4 hours on a monthly basis.

Behavior Consulting

Behavior consulting is a collaborative service designed to help to the community support individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.

This service is intended for professionals, schools, organizations, and community programs.

Sessions may include conducting functional behavior assessments, observations, developing behavior intervention plans, and training staff.

Bloom Behavior provides behavior consulting as a one time, ongoing, or as-needed service.
